Anisseed Cookies
Summary
Prep time
30 min plus drying time over night
Baking time
20 min
Ingredients
Necessities
- Mixer, baking sheets
Preparation
- Important: do not use baking paper! Grease the baking sheets with butter, then dust with flour. The amount of ingredients should fill three baking sheets.
- Mix eggs, aniseed powder and icing sugar in a food processor at highest speed for one minute.
- Add flour and baking powder and keep mixing for three more minutes at highest speed.
- Put the mixture in a piping bag and make small dabs on the baking sheet. Alternatively, you can use a teaspoon to make small heaps on the baking sheet. You should aim for 7 x 7 blobs, so 49 blobs per sheet.
- Note: the mixture is runny. Be careful to not make them too big as they will run into each other.
- Leave to dry for 12 hours (e.g., overnight) at room temperature.
- The next morning, Preheat the oven at 160°C.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes.
- Take out and leave to cool on the baking sheets. Once cool, the cookies will come off the baking sheet easily.
